Barcelona boast of some of the world’s most valuable young talents, and La Masia has to be credited for producing such elite talents who are still so early in their careers.
While the likes of Alejandro Balde, Gavi, and Fermin Lopez are all some of the academy’s young success stories, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi stand out on a whole different level.
After all, the duo are still under the age of 20, yet feature as bona fide starters for Barcelona week in and week out – something that is usually not normal for players their age.
As relayed by SPORT in a recent report, Transfermarkt recently published the XI of the most valuable U-20 talents in world football, and it comes as no surprise that both stars feature prominently.
Yamal is the most valuable of all the players in the team, and thereby the most valuable under-20 player in the world, standing on a cap of €200 million. In fact, no other player in the world in this category even crosses the €100 million mark.
The second-most valuable player in the lineup is none other than Barcelona’s Pau Cubarsi, who is valued at a staggering €80 million.

While the gap between him and Yamal is huge, he is still considerably ahead of the next highest rated player, which is Bayern Munich’s Lennart Karl at €60 million.
Fiorentina’s Tommaso Martinelli is the goalkeeper of the most valuable U-20 XI, with Feyenoord’s Givairo Read and Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly featuring as the full-backs at right and left-back respectively.
Cubarsi partners Barcelona-linked Luka Vuskovic at centre-back, completing the defence.
In midfield, PSG’s Senny Mayulu and Warren Zaire-Emery both feature alongside Karl, who is deployed as an attacking midfielder.
Lamine Yamal is featured as the right-winger, with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande being the left-winger. Charalampos Kostoulas, Brighton and Hove Albion’s 19-year-old summer signing, stars as the centre-forward.
