Barcelona could be set for an unexpected shift in their transfer strategy, with internal relationships now playing a significant role in shaping key decisions ahead of the summer window.

As per recent developments from SPORT, both Ferran Torres and Alejandro Balde find themselves in uncertain sporting situations. 

Neither player currently holds an undisputed role in the starting XI, and under normal circumstances, the club would be open to considering offers for both, especially if financially attractive proposals arrive.

However, the situation is no longer purely about performances or market value. 

Barcelona are placing increasing importance on maintaining dressing room harmony, and both players are seen as important figures in preserving that balance.

Strong dressing room harmony

It is known that offers for the duo are still expected to be evaluated, but the decision-making process has been altered. 

This is because their relationships within the squad, particularly with Pedri and Lamine Yamal, are being taken seriously by the club.

Ferran, in particular, shares a close and well-established bond with Pedri. 

The two are often seen spending time together, whether travelling to training or supporting each other during difficult moments in the season. 

Similarly, Balde enjoys a strong connection with Yamal. Despite operating on opposite flanks during matches, their understanding and camaraderie are evident. 

On the pitch, Balde is often among the first to celebrate with Yamal, while off it, the pair share common interests, friendships, and frequent interactions on social media.

Barcelona will evaluate offers

From a purely sporting and financial perspective, both players remain marketable assets. 

Balde continues to attract interest from the Premier League and Ferran has admirers within La Liga, with Atlético Madrid reportedly among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Yet, the club understand that breaking key personal connections within the squad could have unintended consequences, particularly for young stars like Pedri and Lamine, who are central to the project.
