Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday night made clear their absolute disgust with the officials, amid the club’s ongoing showdown with Real Madrid.

The latest edition of El Clásico is of course currently being contested, in Seville.

Barca and Real Madrid have made the trip to La Cartuja, to lock horns in a highly-anticipated Copa del Rey final clash.

As things stand in extra time, Spanish football’s two biggest clubs are locked at two goals apiece.

As alluded to above, though, of the opinion that their side should have been afforded a last-gasp chance to secure victory in the 90 are those of a Barcelona persuasion.

First, after Ferran Torres had his foot swept by Antonio Rüdiger inside the penalty area, VAR failed to intervene.

Then, after a challenge on the part of Raúl Asencio on Raphinha minutes later, the referee did point to the penalty spot. An ensuing VAR check, however, concluded that the Brazilian had gone to ground before contact was made.

And safe to say, that such calls did not go down at all well with Barcelona’s supporters…

Many, in fact, have gone as far as to highlight what they consider to be ‘the biggest robbery’ of our time.
