Barcelona fans continue Lionel Messi tradition vs Atlético | OneFootball

The home crowd in attendance at Barcelona’s clash with Atlético Madrid on Wednesday continued with a recent tradition at the Spotify Camp Nou.

This came by way of a tribute to club icon Lionel Messi.

Recent weeks have seen the Barcelona faithful make use of their side’s return to base at their beloved ground with ongoing messages to veteran attacker Messi.

After the Argentine recently paid a surprise visit to the newly-renovated Camp Nou, the Blaugrana’s supporters have belted out chants of ‘Messi, Messi’ in the 10th-minute of their home fixtures.

And this evening proved no different, as the same chants were heard booming around the stands during Barca’s La Liga meeting with Atlético Madrid.

Turning focus towards matters on the pitch, the two title-chasing Spanish heavyweights are currently deadlocked at a goal apiece.

This comes after Álex Baena’s opener was swiftly cancelled out at the other end by Raphinha.
