The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have found an agreement with head coach Hansi Flick over the terms of a new contract.

That’s according to German football insider Patrick Berger, who has on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The subject of Flick’s plans has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Barcelona over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after confirmation was forthcoming that the Camp Nou brass had ramped up efforts to prolong the German’s stay with the club.

Amid what has proven a stellar debut campaign for Flick in Spain, the 60-year-old has understandably been decided upon as the right man to lead Barca forward for the long-term.

All of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be delighted to hear of the latest word surrounding the plans of their side’s headmaster.

As per a report from the aforementioned Patrick Berger of Sky Germany:

‘Hansi Flick will extend his contract with Barcelona. Agreement in principle on a new deal til 2027 – just details left to sort out. Official announcement expected in May.’
