Ferran Torres is in fine form. The Barcelona forward, who ended last season strongly until an appendicitis forced him to miss the final three league matches, has taken advantage of Robert Lewandowski’s injury to secure a place in the starting XI.
Four league matches, four starts as the centre-forward, and with good return. Ferran scored in the wins against Mallorca and Levante and registered an assist this past weekend vs Valencia.
Now, according to SPORT, Ferran is full of confidence and he feels very important in the team again, thanks to the backing of Hansi Flick.
The former Manchester City forward is under contract until 2027, and those close to him say he would be delighted to extend it, as his great desire remains to succeed at Barcelona.
If the club offers him a renewal, he will not hesitate. There have been no talks yet, but discussions are expected during the season, especially if he maintains his current level throughout 2025.

As has already been reported, both Flick as well as Barcelona director Deco maintain great confidence in the 25-year-old attacker.
With Lewandowski turning 37 and entering the final year of his contract, the sporting management is considering backing Ferran to take over the mantle of Barcelona’s main striker next summer.
So, the ongoing season is very crucial for the Spanish international, and he is going about things the right way so far, proving his value to the team with notable performances.
Having already started four games in four, Ferran is targeting another start when Barcelona take on Newcastle United this Thursday in the Champions League.
After all, in two matches against Newcastle, while at Manchester City, he scored four goals, including a hat-trick.
