Barcelona handed €30m funds boost | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week closed an agreement to add to the club’s financial accounts in significant fashion.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Friday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

After being informed by La Liga that new sources of income would be required to return to the 1:1 financial rule this summer, Joan Laporta and co. had since been scouring the globe for potential revenue opportunities.

This search had given rise to talks with a whole host of companies and organisations the world over.

And as alluded to above, late this week, one such round of negotiations have borne fruit for Barcelona.

As per a report from Sport:

‘Barça have signed an important sponsorship and collaboration contract with the Congolese Ministry of Sports and Tourism to wear the country’s tourism promotion logo ‘DRC, the heart of Africa’ on the sleeve of the shirt for the next three seasons.’

The deal is understood to be worth a sum in the region €10 million-per-season for the Blaugrana.
