Barcelona issue public response to Lionel Messi’s surprise Camp Nou appearance | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have on Monday sent a message the way of club icon Lionel Messi, in response to the Argentine’s shock visit to the Spotify Camp Nou.

Veteran attacker Messi of course turned heads across world football in the early hours of Monday.

This came upon the 38-year-old taking to social media, to unveil a series of photos of himself in attendance at the newly-renovated Camp Nou.

After making the journey to Spain for a training camp with the Argentine national team, Messi made use of the opportunity to visit the club where he made his name.

Barcelona, it is understood, were completely unaware of these plans, with the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner having been granted access to the stadium by the Limak construction company present late on Sunday night.

As alluded to above, though, the Blaugrana have since moved to make clear that Messi is, always has been, and always will be welcome at the Camp Nou.
