Barcelona have raised eyebrows with the acquisition of Anthony Gordon this summer and are in active pursuit of another great striker in Julian Alvarez.

However, the club are also attentive to the youth market and are on the lookout for young talents with a higher ceiling.

According to Mundo Deportivo, five names in particular are generating strong internal reports at the club.

Kees Smit — AZ Alkmaar

The 20-year-old Dutch midfielder is considered one of the most promising players in the Netherlands, noted for his tactical intelligence, passing range and ability to control the tempo of matches.

Several major European clubs are monitoring his situation, and Barcelona are among them.

Rodrigo Mora — Porto

The 19-year-old Portuguese playmaker is regarded as one of the most exciting creative talents in European football.

Capable of making things happen between the lines through his technique, dribbling and chance creation, he made his professional debut at a record age and is already drawing widespread admiration.

Lewis Miley — Newcastle

The 20-year-old Englishman has quickly established himself as one of the great hopes of his generation, combining physical maturity with the ability to play multiple roles in midfield.

His composure and reading of the game have been described as well beyond his years.

Ibrahim Maza — Bayer Leverkusen

After excelling at Hertha Berlin, the 20-year-old Algerian-German attacker was signed by Leverkusen and continues to develop rapidly.

His creativity, driving runs and vision make him one of the most watchable young players in the Bundesliga.
