An update on the wellbeing of Santos and Brazil star Neymar Jr. has on Thursday come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the veteran attacker is primed to miss his country’s 2nd fixture at the World Cup.

Wide-man Neymar was forced to sit out last weekend, as Brazil kicked their campaign on international football’s grandest stage into gear in a meeting with Morocco.

The 34-year-old is currently dealing with an issue in his right calf, which kept him sidelined for the best part of the last month.

And as much will prove enough to keep Neymar on the absentee list for the five-time world champions’ next outing on Saturday, too.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, despite returning to the training pitch over the last 24 hours:

‘Neymar Jr will miss Brazil game against Haiti, out of Ancelotti’s squad.’

The hope is that the ex-Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain standout will be cleared to play his part in Brazil’s final group stage fixture, against Scotland next week.
