Barcelona would be looking forward to successfully completing this operation, as they kept a 50% right on the player in case of a future sale. Thus, in addition to the €3 million they have already received, the Catalans can receive another sizeable amount of money if he permanently joins Bologna.

This would also be a good move for the youngster’s career, as he has struggled for prominence under his current coach, with Sampdoria battling to avoid further relegation to Serie C. He began his first season at the club well, but two hamstring injuries sidelined him for a significant period.
