FC Barcelona put in another good performance as they beat Getafe in their fifth La Liga match last night. The Blaugranes got the job done with a convincing 3-0 win over one of the more defensively tough sides in La Liga.
It was an enjoyable performance for the Catalan club’s fans, and they could not have many complaints with how things went in the 90 minutes of this game. However, there was still a cause for alarm after the full-time whistle.
Fermin Lopez, who entered the pitch in the 60th minute, replacing two-goal scorer Ferran Torres, was seen clutching his groin and the back of his left leg, visibly in pain at the final whistle.
After being assessed on the field by club doctor Ricard Pruna, Fermin struggled to get up and eventually left the Estadi Johan Cruyff limping, raising concern among the staff and fans.
Hansi Flick, speaking in his post-match press conference, avoided making early judgments and confirmed that the midfielder would undergo tests.
As Mundo Deportivo has reported, this morning, Fermin arrived at the Ciutat Esportiva facilities, driving his own car, shortly after Dr. Pruna, where the player is scheduled to undergo medical examinations to determine the extent of his injury.
More details on his condition are yet to come, but hopefully, Fermin Lopez is not suffering from anything serious and will be able to return to action for FC Barcelona as soon as possible.
