According to transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are not actively looking to sell Ferran Torres, but they are open to discussions if a strong offer arrives.

This places Ferran in a grey area – neither on the market nor completely untouchable.

As things stand, the player remains content at Barcelona and continues to be part of the club’s project.

There is no internal push to move him on, and Barcelona are not initiating contact with other clubs to offload him.

However, the door is clearly open if the right financial proposal is presented.

A very complicated situation

The complexity of Ferran’s situation is largely tied to Barcelona’s transfer strategy.

The club is actively planning attacking reinforcements, with Julian Alvarez identified as a priority target.

Should that move materialise, it could significantly impact the current attacking structure.

At the same time, the future of Robert Lewandowski also plays a major role. If the veteran striker renews his contract, Barcelona could find themselves with an excess of attacking options.

In such a scenario, keeping Ferran may no longer make tactical or financial sense, making a sale more likely.

Dressing room harmony

Despite this uncertainty, there are factors working in Ferran’s favour.

The club values dressing room harmony, and the forward shares a strong connection with key players, particularly Pedri.

Barcelona are cautious about making decisions that could disrupt the positive environment within the squad.

Meanwhile, interest from top clubs continues to grow. Manchester United and Arsenal are both monitoring his situation closely ahead of the summer window, while Atletico Madrid remain long-term admirers.

In essence, Ferran Torres is still very much part of Barcelona’s plans, but his future is far from guaranteed.
