It is the final week of the transfer market, with much activity in the offices of FC Barcelona.
Despite not being able to make signings, the Blaugrana continue to work around the clock to register their unregistered players.
Meanwhile, Barça also continue to remain in close contact with the leading agents in world football in order to be aware of everything that may occur in the market.
According to SPORT, Barcelona’s sporting director Deco met today with Raul Costa, lawyer and agent of the renowned agency AS1, a company that represents top-level figures such as Luis Diaz and Ruben Amorim.
The relationship between the two parties is not new, since last summer they already held extensive talks regarding the arrival of Diaz at Barça, an operation that ultimately did not materialise. But it left the door open to fluid and direct contact, such as today’s meeting.
Following their initial meet-up, Deco and Costa moved to the Camp Nou offices, where Joan Laporta and several members of the Barcelona board of directors, such as Joan Soler and Enric Masip, were waiting.
Also joining the table was Ignacio Aguillo, CEO of AS1, who was not present in the initial meeting but did participate in the second one held inside the stadium offices.

The presence of the top executive of the agency adds further significance, especially considering that one of its clients is Jofre Torrents, a young talent from Barcelona’s academy who impressed during pre-season with the first team and made his official debut recently.
In fact, last night the agents had dinner with the teenage left-back’s parents.
It must be noted that Torrents renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2028 three months ago, in a move that underlines the club’s full confidence in his potential.
For now, the exact issues discussed in today’s meetings remain unknown, but the importance of the participants and the setting are sufficient to glean that the gathering was a significant and strategic step in Barça’s planning.
