Barcelona only consider two of the club’s central defenders as untouchable | OneFootball

A fresh insight into the situation at the heart of defence in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad has on Friday been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and points towards just two players as being considered untouchable when it comes to the market.

Speculation surrounding Barcelona’s defensive stars has of course been rampant across the month to date.

This comes amid outside interest in the services of all of Andreas Christensen, Eric García, and Ronald Araújo.

The latter, in fact, all of a sudden looks increasingly close to the Camp Nou exit door.

In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of relief for those of a Barcelona persuasion to hear that, at the very least, two of their side’s centre-halves are considered as being ‘guaranteed’ to stay put through the summer and beyond.

As per a report from MD:

‘Only Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez, Barça ‘s regular starters throughout this season with Flick on the bench, have a more than guaranteed continuity.’
