FC Barcelona now turn their attention towards their upcoming La Liga clash against Real Oviedo, with Hansi Flick expected to make some key adjustments to his side. La Blaugrana will be aiming to continue their strong form and secure another three points, even with a few important names still unavailable.

While Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde remain out of the squad, Flick still has more than enough quality at his disposal. For this game, three notable changes are on the cards, with Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo, and Marcus Rashford all expected to return to the starting XI.

Here is how Barcelona could line up against Real Oviedo:

Goalkeeper: Joan Garcia

Managed to keep a clean sheet in his last game as he continues his great form. He seems to be a guarantee in terms of the goalkeeper position.

Right-back: Jules Kounde

Back to his best level, the French defender will look to have a strong outing if he gets picked again. Given his form, however, it seems likely that he will start once again.

Centre-back: Pau Cubarsi

The €80 million-rated teenage defender returns after being rested in the previous game. Having recovered from a minor knock during the game against Newcastle United, Cubarsi is expected to replace Andreas Christensen in the lineup.

Centre-back: Ronald Araujo

The Uruguayan is also set to return after being benched against Getafe. His commanding display against Newcastle showed just how valuable he is, and he should come back in place of Eric Garcia.

Left-back: Gerard Martin

The Spaniard continues to be a reliable option for Hansi Flick, and with Alejandro Balde still recovering, he seems to be a guarantee as well.

CDM: Frenkie de Jong

Thanks to the presence of the Dutchman, Barça is able to play out from the back quite effectively. Moreover, he links up quite efficiently with Pedri as well, and that is the key to Barça’s ability to dominate opponents.

CDM: Pedri

The core of this team, Pedri’s presence, is simply non-negotiable. Hansi Flick and the rest of this Barcelona team depend on him quite a lot, and his performances never seem to let them down.

RAM: Raphinha

Managed to grab an assist in the last game, but seemed to struggle a bit here and there. Still, he is too big of an asset not to start this game considering his ability to decide matches.

CAM: Dani Olmo

With Fermin Lopez out injured, Olmo keeps his place in the XI. His vision and experience make him a reliable creative force.

LAM: Marcus Rashford

After starting on the bench against Getafe as punishment from Flick for arriving late to a team talk, Rashford is in line to return to the XI. Following his masterclass against Newcastle and his strong form, Flick is set to hand him a starting role on the left flank.

Centre-forward: Ferran Torres

With Robert Lewandowski dropped to the bench, Ferran Torres will continue as the main striker. Fresh off his brace against Getafe, the Spaniard is undroppable right now and will spearhead the attack.
