Barcelona’s search for young attacking talent appears far from over, with a familiar name finding his way back onto the club’s shortlist.
The Catalan giants have spent recent years investing heavily in emerging players from across Europe, looking not only for future first-team stars but also for talents capable of developing within the club’s structure.
According to SPORT, one player who seems to have regained the attention of Barcelona’s sporting department is Bodø/Glimt striker Mikkel Bro Hansen.
The Danish forward was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona last summer before the club eventually prioritised other options.
Now, after another year of development in Norway, his name has resurfaced within the club’s transfer discussions.

Hansen was among the young attacking prospects Barcelona followed closely during the previous transfer window.
Although a move never materialised, Barcelona have continued monitoring his progress throughout the past season.
The young striker has steadily climbed through the ranks at Bodø/Glimt and has also gained valuable exposure around a first team that has earned widespread praise for its performances in European competition.
As expected, though, Barcelona are not alone in the race, as interest from the Premier League has also intensified, particularly from Newcastle United, who are believed to remain keen on securing his services.
Reports suggest that Bodø/Glimt previously rejected an approach from Newcastle, but the English club could return with a stronger offer after boosting their transfer resources through the sale of Anthony Gordon.

Despite the growing competition, Barcelona’s recruitment team have maintained contact with the player’s situation and remain informed about his progress.
Barcelona’s interest in Hansen follows a familiar pattern that has become increasingly common under the club’s current sporting project.
Rather than focusing exclusively on established stars, the club continues searching for young players who can be developed into future first-team contributors.
At just 17 years of age, Hansen remains a player for the future rather than an immediate solution.
However, his steady rise in Norway has strengthened the belief that he could eventually make the jump to one of Europe’s biggest leagues.
