Although their starting trio of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal is performing at a very high level this season, FC Barcelona are still looking to reinforce their forward line in the next summer transfer window to bring more depth to this area of the team.

For this purpose, the Catalans are looking to strengthen two key positions, i.e., the left wing and the centre-forward, and have been linked with several candidates over the last few weeks.

Three of the names that have been most strongly linked with the Blaugranes have been Rafael Leao, Alexander Isak, and Luis Diaz, and as SPORT has reported, the situation of the former of these two players has changed somewhat in the last few days.

There is no doubt that Rafael Leao has been the franchise player in the AC Milan team for some years, but some recent developments are changing this scenario. The Portuguese forward Joao Felix is now reportedly getting more preference in regards to the team’s future, and the Lombards are willing to part ways with some key players like Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez to ensure his continuity.

The possibility of Milan looking to bring significant changes in their team was further strengthened as they were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League play-off round. It remains to be seen to what extent the Italians will be looking to make these changes, but the possibility of Leao leaving Milan has only increased in recent days.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are also now open to parting ways with their star forward Alexander Isak, who is generating interest from several big European sides including Barcelona, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

The Magpies were previously not even willing to negotiate his sale, but now, they have set a minimum price on the Swedish forward, i.e., €200 million.

Meanwhile, Liverpool can also make large-scale changes in their squad, with the futures of key players like Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold quite uncertain at the moment. One of their forwards, Luis Diaz, is the favourite of Barcelona to reinforce their forward line, and Salah’s future can end up having an impact on his potential move away from Anfield.
