Barcelona set sights on 2nd Borussia Dortmund star | OneFootball

A 2nd member of the first-team ranks at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund has late this week been linked with a move to Spain with Barcelona.

The player in question? Karim Adeyemi.

Attacker Adeyemi is for his part fresh off an impressive start to the new campaign, culminating in six goal contributions across eight appearances.

And such exploits, it is understood, have not gone unnoticed in Catalunya’s capital.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third ahead of Robert Lewandowski’s departure next summer, Barcelona are understood to have reignited their pursuit of Adeyemi.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Adeyemi has returned to Barça’s orbit. According to ‘Bild’, the club is monitoring the situation of the German striker, who has a contract until 30 June 2027.’

In the case of Adeyemi refusing to sign a new deal at Signal Iduna Park, Barcelona could seek out a cut-price agreement for his signature next summer.

Interestingly, this news comes fresh off widespread confirmation surfacing that Deco and co. are also keeping a close eye on Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck.
