Last month, SPORT reported Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have all shown interest in FC Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring his situation closely.
However, his main priority is to continue at Barcelona. PSG are no strangers to snatching players from the Catalan side, and as the summer of 2025 draws closer, they may look to secure another talent.
In recent years, the Parisians have bolstered their midfield with important signings such as Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz, and João Neves. On Saturday, there’s news that de Jong could be available if the capital club want to pursue that target.

Fichajes reports that Barcelona are currently undergoing a financial restructuring, which has led to some tough decisions. As part of this process, the sale of De Jong appears unavoidable, especially since it would bring in a substantial sum.
The club is reportedly open to selling him for around €50 million, knowing that if they don’t act now, they risk losing him for free a year before his contract ends.
The Dutchman joined Barcelona in 2019, making 220 total appearances, scoring 17 goals, and registering 21 assists. The former Ajax man has also won one LaLiga title, one Copa del Rey, and one Supercopa de España.
