Barcelona are planning their strategy for the upcoming summer transfer window, and one of the key priorities for the club appears to be strengthening their attacking options on the wings.

According to a report from The Telegraph, Barcelona have begun exploring several potential wide forwards as they evaluate how to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.

One of the most talked-about names in the current squad is Marcus Rashford, who is spending the season in Catalonia on loan from Manchester United. 

The English forward has impressed during his time with the Spanish champions, but a permanent transfer at the end of the season is not yet guaranteed.

Barcelona secured Rashford on a season-long loan deal that includes an option to buy for €30 million once the campaign comes to an end. 

From a financial perspective, the price is considered relatively affordable, especially in a transfer market where attacking players often command much higher fees.

Within the club, there is reportedly satisfaction with the player’s performances. 

In fact, Hansi Flick and other members of the technical staff are believed to be pleased with the impact Rashford has made since arriving at the Camp Nou.

Statistically, the forward has delivered a solid season. Rashford has scored 10 goals and 13 assists in 38 appearances for Barcelona.

The €30 million purchase clause means Barcelona have a clear opportunity to secure his services permanently if they decide to do so.

However, despite the favourable terms of the deal, the report indicates that Barcelona are not limiting themselves to just one possibility. 

The club has begun sounding out other wide attackers across Europe as part of their broader recruitment planning.

This approach suggests that Barcelona want to keep their options open before making a final decision in the summer. 

The club’s sporting department is likely evaluating several profiles to determine which players best fit the tactical plans of the coaching staff.

As a result, Rashford’s future remains uncertain. The English forward has certainly made a positive impression during his loan spell, but Barcelona’s interest in other wide attackers means the final decision may depend on how the market evolves.
