Barcelona star admits he is ‘not 100% fit’ after start vs Celta Vigo | OneFootball

Barcelona star Dani Olmo has admitted that he remains some way off full fitness as things stand.

This of course comes after the midfielder was restored to a starting role in Barcelona’s meeting with Celta Vigo on Sunday evening.

Olmo was for his part originally named on the bench for the Blaugrana’s trip to Balaídos.

After Marc Casadó was forced to pull out of the clash during the warm-up, however, his international teammate was introduced in his place.

And Olmo, to his credit, went on to enjoy a solid showing, despite being fielded in a deeper role to that which he is accustomed to.

The former RB Leipzig man has come in for persistent criticism on the part of the Barcelona faithful of late, for the level of his performances.

Speaking to the media post-match on Sunday, though, Olmo went on to reveal that he is yet to fully recover from a recent injury setback:

“I need to keep working hard. I am not match sharp yet. I feel good, but not 100%. It will come inevitably.”
