A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona could seek out a departure from the club next summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Ronald Araújo as the player in question.
Stopper Araújo was of course not long ago heavily linked with an exit from Catalunya’s capital.
This came with the Uruguayan having lost his place in the Barcelona XI, following a long-term spell on the sidelines with injury.
Araújo has since returned to first-choice status over the early weeks of the new season, following the summer departure of Iñigo Martínez.
But should his place in Hansi Flick’s line-up be called into question again over the course of the campaign, Araújo has not ruled out seeking a fresh transfer.
As per a report from MD:
‘If he doesn’t get the expected continuity, the Uruguayan could ask to leave, as he firmly proposed in January, before ultimately renewing until 2031.’
