Barcelona youngster Fermín López on Sunday secured for himself an altogether noteworthy recent piece of club history.
This came owing to his exploits en route to Barcelona’s rampant victory over Valencia.
The Blaugrana were of course back in action on Sunday night, welcoming Valencia to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.
When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops nothing short of ran riot, putting seven goals past their hapless visitors, who managed just one in return.
A whole host of Barca’s stars shone bright over the course of the 90 minutes, with the likes of Alejandro Balde, Lamine Yamal and Frenkie de Jong having been hailed post-match.
As alluded to above, though, it was another who notched a piece of recent history.
Fermín López, for his part, managed to play a direct hand in four of Barcelona’s seven goals against Valencia, courtesy of a brace and two assists.
And, as revealed in the game’s aftermath, this marked the first occasion on which a Blaugrana player managed such a feat in La Liga since Lionel Messi all the way back in 2019:
