Barcelona star Ferran Torres is locked in negotiations with European champions Paris-Saint Germain, over a potential joining of forces with a view to next season.

This of course comes amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Spaniard’s future in Catalunya’s capital.

Frontman Ferran has taken his place front and centre in the headlines surrounding Barcelona for several weeks now. Ahead of the expiration of the 26-year-old’s contract terms at the Camp Nou in 12 months’ time, he has been earmarked as a market opportunity be a number of clubs across the continent.

The aforementioned PSG have long been labelled the frontrunners to strike a deal in the case of Ferran ultimately making the call to move on, with compatriot Luis Enrique an admirer of the versatile attacker’s talents.

And as alluded to above, this weekend, the brass at the Parc des Princes remain active in efforts to convince Ferran of the merits of a move to Ligue 1.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Paris Saint-Germain remain in direct talks with Ferran Torres’ camp over move this summer. Barça do not want to sell Ferran; the only way is if Ferran asks to leave the club.’
