Barcelona star in the sights of Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the summer | OneFootball

An out-of-favour member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the transfer radar of German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Pau Víctor as the player in question.

Frontman Víctor, for his part, has endured something of a difficult campaign to date in Catalunya’s capital.

Owing to the fierce competition for places in Hansi Flick’s frontline, the 23-year-old has largely struggled for game-time, to the tune of just two starts across all competitions.

At such a crucial point in his development as a player, it has in turn come as little surprise to see Víctor linked with a summer transfer away from the Camp Nou.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the Spaniard looks unlikely to be short on suitors.

As per a report from Sport:

‘Bayer Leverkusen are very attentive to Víctor’s situation and with a project that is going to be revolutionized after the farewell of Xabi Alonso.’

The likes of Real Betis, Celta Vigo and RCD Mallorca are all understood to be keeping a close eye on the player’s situation, too.

Barcelona, for their part, remain happy with Víctor’s efforts, but are not expected to stand in the way of the striker if he opts to seek out a new adventure for next season.
