Barcelona star reveals harsh message from Robert Lewandowski before Elche meeting | OneFootball

Barcelona star Marc Casadó has revealed that teammate Robert Lewandowski sent a no-nonsense message to Hansi Flick’s squad in the buildup to their latest outing.

Speaking to the media post-match on Sunday, midfielder Casadó explained:

“During the week, Lewandowski said that we need to be critical with ourselves. We have to improve.”

Lewandowski’s message of course came fresh off Barcelona being put to the sword by arch rivals Real Madrid last weekend.

The Pole’s words appear to have had the desired effect, with the reigning Spanish champions having secured an immediate return to winning ways at the expense of Elche this evening.

Owing to goals on the part of all of Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres and Marcus Rashford, Barca emerged on the right side of a 3-1 result.

The Blaugrana have in turn climbed back into 2nd spot in the La Liga table, five points adrift of Xabi Alonso’s table-topping Real Madrid.
