Barcelona star sits out training with permission of Hansi Flick | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona played no part in group training on Sunday.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.

Stopper Christensen is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch in the colours of Barcelona for the first time this season on Saturday night.

En route to the Blaugrana’s 3-2 La Liga downing of Levante, the Dane was introduced to proceedings off the bench during the 2nd-half.

In turn, it may come as something of a concern for those of a Barca persuasion to learn of Christensen – sidelined for almost all of last season – missing training this morning.

Such supporters, however, need not fret.

A per a report from Sport, the former Chelsea man sat out Sunday’s recovery session with the permission of Hansi Flick and his staff.

This comes owing to what is described as ‘slight general discomfort’.
