Barcelona star tested in new position vs Guadalajara | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been tested in a new role in the club’s latest outing on Tuesday.

The player in question? Marc Casadó.

Youngster Casadó was for his part reintroduced to a starting berth this evening, for Barcelona’s Copa del Rey meeting with minnows Guadalajara.

With both Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong also in from the off, though, it was not entirely clear where the 22-year-old would fit in.

As much has since been confirmed by the action on the pitch at the Estadio Pedro Escartín, though.

Despite Hansi Flick having suggested on Monday that it would not prove the case, Casadó has taken his place at right-back in the Blaugrana’s XI.

It now remains to be seen if the Spanish international can do enough to make himself a legitimate option for the role in more high-profile fixtures moving forward…
