La Liga giants Barcelona will be forced to make do without the contributions of a leading member of the club’s frontline for their next three fixtures in all competitions.
This comes amid confirmation that Ferran Torres is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Frontman Ferran for his part featured from the off this past weekend, as Barcelona locked horns with Real Sociedad in a league clash.
En route to a surprise 2-1 defeat for the Blaugrana, however, the former Manchester City man suffered an injury setback.
Ferran, in turn, was put through a round of medical scans and tests on Tuesday morning.
And the results of as much have since been revealed.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s official website and social media platforms:
‘Ferran Torres has a strain in the semimembranosus muscle of his right leg and is out, with an approximate recovery time of about ten days.’
Such an absence would see Ferran miss Barca’s next three outings, against Slavia Praha, Real Oviedo, and FC Copenhagen.
He is also a doubt to face Elche on January 31st.
