Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen played no part in group activities at the club’s training base for the 2nd day in a row on Tuesday.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen saw his name return to the forefront of the headlines at Barcelona late on Monday evening.

This came amid confirmation that, in the thick of the ongoing speculation surrounding his future, the German had not joined the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad for group training.

And as alluded to above, as of Tuesday morning, the situation had not changed.

As per a report from Sport:

‘As happened yesterday in the debut on the pitch of the Barça players, Ter Stegen again remained on the fringes of the group and worked out in the gym.’

It is also noted, though, that the 33-year-old is dealing with a ‘slight’ fitness concern at present.
