Barcelona are all set to play hosts to Valencia in their first home game of the season, although the match will be played at the 6,000-seater Estadi Johan Cruyff.

Having struggled to obtain the necessary licenses, Barça expect to play the Getafe game at Johan Cruyff Stadium as well, before returning to Camp Nou against Real Sociedad on September 28.

While nothing is signed off yet, the club is increasingly confident of meeting that date.

Barcelona start VIP seat allocation

That is because Barcelona have begun distributing invitations to high-profile personalities, a familiar strategy in recent years to boost visibility, reports Diario SPORT.

Past big nights at Camp Nou featured names like Travis Scott and Terry Crews. This time, the standout name is Hasbulla Magomedov, the Russian influencer who has built a massive following online with his comedic videos and distinctive persona.

Alongside Hasbulla, invitations have also gone to fellow influencer Kurban Amiraslanov and MMA fighter Aiub Gimbatov.

The letters, dated September 4, cover either the Real Sociedad or Girona fixtures.

This suggests Barcelona are confident of returning to the iconic stadium by September 28 against Real Sociedad. The worst-case scenario could see Barça returning to Camp Nou by mid-October when they take on Girona.

It must be noted that Barcelona are also slated to face Paris Saint-Germain on October 1, meaning the Real Sociedad match could be crucial as UEFA looks to keep an eye on Camp Nou’s match-readiness.

In any case, it seems Barcelona fans have something to cheer about, knowing the return to Camp Nou could be just around the corner.
