Barcelona superstar meets with his agent ahead of return from injury | OneFootball

A lot has been said about Lamine Yamal lately, as the young Barcelona forward looks to recover from injuries that have stalled his progress this season.

Yamal has already resumed training ahead of the Girona clash this weekend, which is a good sign for Barcelona.

However, more than his fitness, there have been talks of Yamal’s future, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly ‘desperate’ to get hold of his services.

Yamal and Jorge Mendes hold a three-hour meeting

Against the backdrop of this PSG interest, Yamal has recently held a meeting with his agent Jorge Mendes in Barcelona, reports SPORT.

The meeting took place earlier today and lasted around three hours. It was held at a hotel in the city. Mendes was joined by members of his team, while Yamal was later seen leaving the venue with his partner, Argentine singer Nicki Nicole.

As per the report, the gathering served as a catch-up session between the player and his agent, aimed at reviewing ongoing matters and aligning future plans.

Mendes, who arrived in Barcelona on an express trip to meet several of his clients, is expected to return to Portugal later this afternoon.

The Portuguese agent represents several Barcelona players, including Alejandro Balde, Marc Casado, and Guille Fernandez, and often prefers in-person discussions to assess their situations.

Mendes has long been a key figure in Yamal’s career and was the first to confirm earlier this year that the youngster’s contract renewal with Barcelona was on track.

He has also consistently defended Yamal’s talent, most recently praising him after the 18-year-old finished second in the Ballon d’Or voting behind Ousmane Dembele.
