In addition to strengthening their first team with more experienced, top-class players, FC Barcelona are also putting particular emphasis on youth talent acquisition this summer. This is quite clear from their signing of Hamza Abdelkarim, while they are also very close to completing the signing of Jesse Bisiwu. They have also been linked with other youngsters like Jorge Salinas and Josue Caicedo.
Meanwhile, they continue to be linked with other promising young talents from around the world. In this regard, a report from Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona are one of several European clubs that are interested in the signing of the 15-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder, Kaua Pavuna, who currently plays for Flamengo and is also a regular player for the youth categories of the Brazilian national team.
The report has cited the journalist Joao van Boysen to claim the Catalan side’s interest in the player, along with that of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal. All of these sides have been monitoring the player since 2025. Furthermore, Bayern Munich have now also entered this list of suitors for the young Brazilian.
Meanwhile, Pavuna’s parents are also visiting clubs across Europe to review offers and plan their son’s future, as he can complete a transfer once he turns 16 years of age. They have already visited the Barcelona facilities at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and La Masia.
While he is still very young, he is already being compared to the legendary Brazilian, Ronaldinho, mainly because of his ability to unsettle defenses and his impressive physical abilities. This reference could also endear the youngster further to the Blaugranes, as Ronaldinho spent the best years of his playing career playing for the Catalan team.
