Barcelona ‘to include’ Marc Casadó in João Cancelo deal to cut fee | OneFootball

João Cancelo wants to remain at Barcelona and the club are open to a permanent deal after his winter loan from Al Hilal. The full-back has said he would like to return to Benfica.

Sport reports that Barcelona have outlined terms to agent Jorge Mendes, seeking a free termination with Al Hilal or a significantly reduced fee. The Saudi club are aiming for about 10 million euros, which the Catalans are unwilling to pay.

In the coming weeks, the agent is expected to seek an understanding with Al Hilal, although the process is not seen as simple.

To help bridge the gap, Barcelona could include a player, with Marc Casadó among the options. The youngster appeals to the Saudi club and could help unlock negotiations.

This season for Barcelona, Cancelo, valued at nine million euros, has made 19 competitive appearances, 12 in La Liga, four in the Champions League and three in the Copa del Rey. Across 1,234 minutes he has one goal and three assists.
