There is a lot of tension between FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, with the club far from happy with how La Roja have been handling fitness-related issues with some of their players.
Last month, it was Lamine Yamal, who was forced to play despite carrying some discomfort, leading to an extended absence.
This week, it is Dani Olmo who has been sidelined with a calf injury after continuing to train with the national team camp despite arriving with fatigue.
As already reported, Barcelona are very discontent with how the situation surrounding Olmo had been handled.
Building on that, Javi Miguel of AS now reports that the La Liga champions have asked the Spain camp to be extra careful with key midfielder Pedri.
The midfield maestro also went into the international break with a medical warning, much like Olmo, having also shown clear signs of fatigue.

As such, Barça have urged that his workload and training intensity be closely monitored by the Spain staff to avoid a similar outcome to that of his teammate.
Since the new season got underway, Pedri has started each of Barcelona’s ten games across La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
The 22-year-old midfield magician has played the full ninety minutes in seven of those matches, and each of his three substitutions occurred after he had been on the pitch for at least 75 minutes.
Meanwhile, Pedri also started both of Spain’s World Cup qualifying games against Bulgaria and Turkey last month, clocking nearly 160 minutes in total.
So, it is only natural for Barcelona to be worried about his workload, especially given that a number of important fixtures are coming up, none more so than the Clasico against Real Madrid on 26 October.
