The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona took full note of the fine display put forth by a member of Spain’s attacking ranks against France on Thursday night.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Nico Williams as the player in question.
Wide-man Nico was of course in from the off yesterday evening, as Spain and France went to battle for a place in the final of the Nations League.
And the Athletic Club standout went on to play a starring role from his berth on the left flank.
En route to a 5-4 La Roja triumph, the 22-year-old notched both a fine goal and an assist, to fully justify his starting berth in Luis de la Fuente’s team.
And as alluded to above, such exploits did not go at all unnoticed on the part of one of Nico’s long-term admirers…
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:
‘Barca really liked Nico Williams’ game’.
Winger Nico was of course hotly tipped for a move to Barcelona throughout the 2024 summer transfer window, with it now remaining to be seen if Deco and co. were sufficiently moved on Thursday evening to sanction a fresh assault for his signature.
