Barcelona will miss out on Paris Saint-Germain star this summer | OneFootball

Barcelona are hoping to be busy during the summer transfer window, which opens for business at the start of next month. They have already sealed the signing of Anthony Gordon, but he will surely not be the only player to arrive at the Spotify Camp Nou before the end of August.

Barcelona pipped Bayern Munich to the signing of Gordon, whose arrival was hastily closed given the England international’s involvement at the 2026 World Cup. Hansi Flick and Deco were in agreement that the winger had to be signed from Newcastle United, and as a consequence, numerous targets will now be overlooked.

Marcus Rashford is expected to miss out on staying at Barcelona on a permanent basis, while the likes of Ez Abde and Jan Virgili will also not be signed by the Catalans. Also on this list is Bradley Barcola, who had been considered as a possible alternative option on the left wing, but this will no longer be the case.

As per Sport, Barcelona have no plans to make a move for Barcola this summer, despite the fact that he is certain to leave Paris Saint-Germain after the World Cup. The France international is attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, with a Premier League move considered much more likely compared to the La Liga champions.

Barcelona could still be affected by Barcola case

Despite the fact that Barcelona have discarded Barcola as a transfer option, they could still be affected by his case. PSG have started looking at replacements in the event of his expected departure, and among those being considered by the back-to-back European champions is Ferran Torres, who only has a year left on his contract at the Spotify Camp Nou.

It’ll be interesting to see whether anything comes of PSG’s interest in Torres, although Barcelona are said to be moving quickly to tie the forward down to a new contract.
