With the second international break of the 2025/26 season now behind us, FC Barcelona will return to action on Saturday, when they take on Girona in the Catalan derby.

Leading up to the game, however, Hansi Flick & co. find themselves with a plethora of injury issues, even though Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez are set to return.

Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo came back injured from national team duty and are out for a few weeks, while Ferran Torres also returned with overload, although he is expected to be fit for the weekend.

Raphinha still not back

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports that key winger Raphinha is still not back in training and is all but ruled out of the game against Girona.

Furthermore, his availability for the subsequent UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiacos also remains highly doubtful.

The 28-year-old attacker suffered a hamstring injury in late September, during the game against Real Oviedo, and has since missed three matches in all competitions.

A recovery timeline of three weeks had been suggested initially, but the Brazilian international is understood to have suffered a setback in his rehabilitation, delaying his return.

Raphinha has not yet begun working on the field and, as such, will not be available against Girona on Saturday, while his availability to face Olympiacos also seems unlikely.

Flick & co. will hope to have their key forward and captain back in time for the first El Clasico of the season on 26 October.

Three players back from national team duty

Meanwhile, Flick has recovered three of his internationals after the break, with Andreas Christensen, Roony Bardghji, and Frenkie de Jong returning to team training today.

Marcus Rashford, Pedri, and Pau Cubarsi are expected to be back with the squad tomorrow after playing their final match of the break on Tuesday.
