Barcelona’s success this season has not been an easy pill to swallow for haters of the club, and it is inevitable that conspiracy theories thus begin to fly in.
A lot has been said about how Hansi Flick’s men are able to keep up their great form week in and week out this season, and one of the biggest conspiracy theories on that front is that of the bandages.
As per the ‘bandage’ theory, propagated by a former Real Madrid doctor, Barcelona players are wearing unnecessary bandages to cover parts of their body that provide easier venous access, insinuating the usage of performance-enhancing substances.
If Barcelona fans have learnt one thing in recent weeks, it is that Lamine Yamal fears none especially when it comes to the media or social media.
The player took to his Instagram after the game against Inter Milan last night and put out a post that sends a silent message to all haters who are questioning Barcelona’s integrity.
On his social media post, the teenage star put out a carousel of photos, one in which the bandage on his right arm is visible and another of the second half where he clearly has no bandage on, nor any signs of the suggested ‘malpractice’.
His decision to go public with the response seems completely intentional and is only rational given the baseless claims hurled at the players week in and week out.
As hard as it is for the haters of the club to accept, Barcelona stands where they are today purely as a result of their hard work and quality.
The treble is still a possibility and the club will do everything in their capacity to make it a reality.
