There is a lot of talent within this current FC Barcelona squad, and it shows on the pitch as well. While there are certain players who are unable to perform on the big stage, the Catalan giants fortunately do not have that problem. Under Hansi Flick this season, this Barcelona team has been excelled sensationally.

However, each talented player brings along with them their own unique skills and abilities. Fortunately for Barcelona, these players are also all important in their own way, and this mixture of various archetypes and profiles has allowed this team to be as dangerous and as unpredictable as they are.

Yet, if there is one player who is seen as the team’s creative engine in the attack, it is undoubtedly Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old Spanish winger, despite his young age, has already established himself as one of the best playmakers in the entirety of Europe and has the skillset to make that asset of his even more dangerous.

One of the ways he does that is through his exceptional dribbling ability, one that rivals even the very best of players who are playing across Europe’s top clubs. In fact, he is statistically the best dribbler across Europe’s top five leagues so far this year as well.

According to the statistics provided by WhoScored, the Barcelona prodigy is currently the player with the most successful dribbles across Europe’s top five leagues in 2025 so far. Moreover, the difference between him and second-placed Jeremy Doku also puts into perspective just how great his quality is.

The Barcelona winger has successfully completed 62 dribbles in 2025, whereas second-placed Doku has managed 47 so far. Both of them are ahead of the likes of Diego Moreira with 34, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala also with 34, and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens with 33 successful dribbles.

Interestingly, Yamal is by far the youngest player on that list as well. This simply showcases the generational talent that he possesses, and given that he is set to face off against Atletico Madrid tonight, he will need to put his talent on display to help the team get through that big challenge.
