Former FC Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez returned to La Liga this past summer, signing for Sevilla on a free transfer.
The Chilean attacker spent three seasons with Barcelona between 2011 and 2014 before departing for England, where he joined Arsenal.
Now, after over a decade, Alexis has returned to Spain and has already hit the ground running at Sevilla.
Now, it has emerged that Barcelona congratulated Alexis Sanchez, through an official letter, on his signing for Sevilla and his return to Spanish football.
The 36-year-old South American shared an image of the letter that he received from the Blaugrana, signed by club president Joan Laporta, after his deadline day move to Sevilla.
“I wish to express, on behalf of the FC Barcelona Board of Directors and on my own behalf, our most sincere congratulations on your recent incorporation into Sevilla Fútbol Club,” Laporta wrote in the letter.

“I also take this opportunity to wish you every success in this new phase.”
As mentioned above, Alexis played for Barcelona for three seasons, from 2011 to 2014, appearing in a total of 141 matches and scoring 41 goals.
After leaving Catalonia, the 36-year-old had stints at Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Marseille, and Udinese before arriving in Seville.
In two games for his new club, Alexis already has a goal and an assist – earning his team four points with his contributions.
Sevilla host Barcelona in La Liga on 5 October, and Alexis will hope to play a part in what will be a special game for the veteran.
