Barcelona're preparing January move for Brazilian sensation Rayan Vitor according to reports in Spain as the Catalan giants aim to strengthen their squad midway through the season.

The Sport newspaper claims the Vasco da Gama winger, one of the breakout stars in Brazilian football this year, is now top target for Barca sporting director Deco.

The club’s winter activity's expected to be far more aggressive than last year when they made no mid season signings.

Barcelona added only 3 new player last summer (Marcus Rashford, Roony Bardghji and goalkeeper Juan Garcia) leaving room for fresh talent as they prepare for demanding second half of the campaign.

At just 19 year old, Rayan Vitor's delivered impressive numbers this season scoring 16 goal in 45 appearance across all competitions.

In his last 5 match, he's found the net 5 time, a streak that's propelled him to the front pages in Brazil and reignited Barcelona’s interest first established when the club scouted him at 15 year old during Deco’s previous role as club ambassador.

The 1.85m winger's known for his pace, close control, aerial presence and versatility, capable of operating on both flanks cutting inside with his preferred left foot or playing as central forward when needed.

Rising star on the international stage

Rayan's already represented Brazil at youth level with remarkable output 14 goal and 8 assist in 14 game for the U17s and 11 goal for the U20 side.

His current deal with CR Vasco da Gama runs until Dec 2026 but the club may look to cash in early next year to avoid losing him for reduced fee closer to free agency.
