Barcelona have started planning for the summer transfer window, and reports suggest they have identified three key targets to strengthen their squad.
According to SPORT, the club has set its sights on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko as potential signings.
However, bringing any of them will not be an easy task due to financial constraints.
Among the three, Isak appears to be the club’s priority. Barcelona have already made an initial approach, albeit informally, to understand whether the Swedish striker would be open to a move.
The response has been positive, as Isak is keen on playing for the Catalan giants. However, securing his transfer is far from straightforward. Newcastle value him at over €100 million, a price tag that makes negotiations difficult.
Arsenal are also in the race, with stronger financial backing, making them a more attractive option for both the player and his current club.

As things stand, Barcelona have not advanced further in their pursuit, largely due to their financial fair play limitations. A major sale in the summer could change the situation, and if that happens, Isak would be at the top of their wishlist.
It is said that Diaz would welcome a move to Barcelona for both personal and professional reasons. From Barcelona’s perspective, the key factor in this deal would be his contract situation with Liverpool.
If he does not agree to a renewal, the summer of 2026 will be the last opportunity for Liverpool to cash in on him before his contract expires.
If he decides to hold off on renewing, Barcelona’s chances of signing him could become more realistic.
Meanwhile, Sesko is also on Barcelona’s radar, though his situation is slightly different. The Slovenian forward is seen as a traditional number nine, which presents a complication since Robert Lewandowski is expected to stay for at least another season.
Having both in the squad might not be a logical move for the upcoming campaign. If Barcelona do decide to push for Sesko, they would likely have to wait until 2025.
