Bayern Munich have joined the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign Hertha Berlin’s highly rated young midfielder, Kennet Eichhorn.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their midfield options in the summer, and have already registered strong interest in Bayern’s Leon Goretzka, who will leave the club on a free transfer.

The Gunners are consistently on the lookout for promising young talent, making their interest in Eichhorn unsurprising.

Christian Falk has informed CFBayern that the Gunners could face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United, who are planning a midfield overhaul next summer.

Casemiro will leave the club at the end of the season, while doubts remain over the long-term futures of Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes.

Eichhorn is currently enjoying a breakthrough campaign at Hertha in the Bundesliga 2, having made 12 appearances, including 10 starts.

The German under-17 international operates primarily as a defensive midfielder, and several clubs across Europe are closely monitoring his progress.

Bayern Munich register concrete interest in Kennet Eichhorn

Despite already possessing strong depth in central midfield, Bayern Munich are keen to invest in young players who can develop into future stars.

Christian Falk has informed CFBayern that the Bavarian giants have registered “concrete interest” in the 16-year-old midfielder.

The youngster is represented by ’11Wins’, the same advisory agency that represents Jamal Musiala and Wisdom Mike – a connection that gives Bayern direct access to the player’s camp.

On top of that, Eichhorn has a release clause that can be activated during the summer transfer window, and Bayern could look to trigger it.

With Goretzka set to depart, Bayern may view Eichhorn as a long-term successor, although they are expected to face strong competition from Arsenal and Manchester United for his signature.
