Bayern boss gives update on Neuer after half-time substitution | OneFootball

Manuel Neuer was withdrawn at half-time with a minor calf problem during Bayern Munich’s 3-0 Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen on Saturday, with Jonas Urbig replacing him.

According to BuLi News, sporting director Christoph Freund played down fears of a serious issue, saying the change was precautionary and that Neuer only felt slight tightness.

Freund also praised Urbig’s contribution after the break, highlighting his assured body language, active involvement and readiness whenever called upon.

It remains unclear whether Neuer will be fit to start against Eintracht Frankfurt next week.

If not, Urbig will be ready to step in again.
