A Bayern flirt is apparently about to leave his current club in Denmark. FC Bayern has been keeping a close eye on the striker’s development for months.

A new name from Denmark could become hot at FC Bayern next summer. According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, FC Midtjylland ’s Franculino Djú is determined to leave the Danish club in the summer. This could provide Munich with an opportunity to further advance their personnel planning in attack.

The 20-year-old has been repeatedly linked with the German record champions for months. Internally, Franculino is apparently considered an exciting candidate for long-term squad planning – especially with a view to a possible future after Harry Kane.

Bayern are monitoring his development very closely and see him as a player with great potential for the coming years.

Djú as Kane’s successor?

According to consistent media reports, Djú is seen by Bayern as a potential replacement for the next generation. His dynamism, finishing ability and physical presence make him an interesting profile for the Munich scouting department. However, the competition is also fierce: several top European clubs are also said to have the attacker on their radar. In addition, a possible transfer fee of around 50 million euros is being discussed, which would probably have to be transferred to Midtjylland.

The striker’s development has not been without setbacks of late. Knee surgery forced him to take a break, but he is now working on his comeback. His market value is currently estimated at around 22 million euros – and that figure is set to rise if he returns to his old form.

This poses a classic transfer question for FC Bayern: should they make a move now before the price rises – or wait and risk other European heavyweights getting in on the action?
