FC Bayern are apparently on the verge of making one of the most important personnel decisions of the coming years. All indications are that Harry Kane will extend his contract in Munich – and become the best-paid player in the club’s history in the process
With 49 goals in 41 games, the Englishman is having an outstanding season and has long since become an indispensable fixture in Munich’s attacking play. It is therefore no surprise that Bayern are doing everything they can to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2027, at an early stage
According to the Spanish portal El Nacional, Kane has already made a clear decision, stating that the 32-year-old has turned down offers from England and Spain and has made a conscious decision to stay at FC Bayern
What’s more, Kane is said to have instructed his brother and advisor Charlie Kane to „conclude the talks with those responsible at Säbener Straße as quickly as possible“. The top goalscorer does not want a protracted hanging game, but clarity about his future – ideally before the 2026 World Cup
The reasons for his decision are obvious. Kane feels at home in Munich, both on a sporting and personal level. Above all, however, he sees FC Bayern as the best chance to regularly compete for major titles – a decisive factor after his move from Tottenham, where precisely this perspective was lacking

What is particularly explosive is that the planned contract extension will not only affect the duration of the contract, but will also significantly improve the financial conditions. According to the report, Kane could earn around 30 million euros per year in future
This would not only make the England international the top earner at FC Bayern, but would also set a new club salary record, a clear sign of the importance Kane now has at the record champions
The possible extension is more than just a contractual matter – it is a strategic statement. Kane is the face of Bayern’s current attack and should continue to play the central role in the attack in the coming years
Especially in terms of long-term squad planning, it would be hugely important for the Englishman to stay, as Bayern would not only be securing one of the best strikers in the world, but also stability and reliability at the highest level
