Bayern exits looming for Peretz and Kim

Daniel Peretz appears increasingly likely to depart Bayern Munich this summer as interest from across Europe intensifies, but his next destination remains uncertain amidst various competing offers and priorities, according to FCBInside and Sky. The 25-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Bayern from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023 for approximately €5 million, has struggled for playing time—making just five senior appearances last season behind Manuel Neuer and Jonas Urbig.

Hamburg (HSV) have again expressed concrete interest in Peretz, making fresh contact with the player’s camp. However, the move is complicated by HSV’s current pecking order, with Daniel Heuer Fernandes firmly established as first-choice. Peretz is determined to secure a role as an undisputed starter, a condition that HSV cannot guarantee as of now. FCBInside notes that Peretz’s insistence on a clear No. 1 role is central to his transfer considerations.

HSV are not the only club pursuing the Israeli international. Clubs from France’s Ligue 1—Brest and Metz—have touched base about a potential deal, but negotiations have yet to advance meaningfully. The most serious progress appears to be with Genoa in Serie A, who, as reported by Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano via FCBInside, are engaged in advanced discussions with Bayern. Genoa has submitted a loan proposal with an option to buy and regard Peretz as a long-term solution, keen to conclude the deal promptly. For Peretz, a move to Serie A would present the opportunity to establish himself at a high level and earn consistent minutes.

Earlier in the window, PSV Eindhoven emerged as a likely destination, but talks with Bayern broke down due to disagreements over contract details. With Peretz’s contract in Munich running until 2028 but little realistic path to extended playing time, both club and player appear open to a move in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Bayern are also re-evaluating their defensive resources, with Minjae Kim attracting formal interest from Galatasaray Istanbul. Multiple Turkish sources, including Akşam via FCBInside, report that the Süper Lig champions have tabled a formal loan bid for the 28-year-old South Korean centre-back. It is not yet clear whether the proposal includes an option to buy. Bayern, who paid €50 million for Kim last summer, have reportedly set his price at around €35 million should it come to a permanent transfer.

Kim’s first season in Munich saw fluctuating fortunes, including a battle with Achilles tendon problems that ruled him out of much of the business end of the campaign and limited his involvement at the FIFA Club World Cup. With several new arrivals in defense and a drive to streamline the squad, Bayern may be more willing to negotiate Kim’s departure, especially if it leads to securing the desired fee. Previous rumored interest from clubs such as Al Nassr and Paris Saint Germain has yet to materialize into concrete offers.

As Bayern weigh squad restructuring, both Peretz and Kim’s futures are unresolved, with potential moves likely to hinge on the players’ desires for starting roles, financial considerations, and the relative urgency of Bayern’s summer revamp.
