Tornike Kvaratskhelia is still on FC Bayern's transfer radar, as the Rekordmeister are waiting for him to turn 18 due to FIFA regulations that restrict them from signing U18 players from non-EU countries.
The Georgian attacker recently visited Säbener Straße, where he was able to train with FC Bayern. According to recent reports, he remains a hot candidate for the future, with Bayern bosses impressed with his recent performances for Dinamo Tbilisi.
The 16-year-old was among the best performers when the Georgian side progressed to the next round of the UEFA Conference League preliminary qualifications on Thursday.
In the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, Kvaratskhelia was among the most eye-catching players as the Georgians recorded a 3-0 first-leg win over Lithuanian side Žalgiris. His performance also draws comparisons with his older brother Khvicha, who won the Champions League in back-to-back seasons with PSG.
Dinamo Tbilisi coach Temur Kezbaia praised his youngster after the game. “I’m happy with Tornike. He has already shown that he can play great football. He's 16 years old, training hard, but he's not ready for 90 minutes yet. He was often fouled, but was still one of the best," the coach explained.
